Stanford innovators and industry entrepreneurs have joined forces with the measurement experts from NIST to create a new engine powering the bioeconomy. It’s called JIMB — “Jim Bee” — the Joint Initiative for Metrology in Biology.

JIMB’s mission is to collaboratively advance metrology in genomics and synthetic biology. It unites people, platforms, and projects to underpin standards-based research and innovation by bringing together stakeholders from .edu, .gov, and .com.

As of late 2018 JIMB is hosted by SLAC in collaboration with NIST and Stanford. Our physical locations include Stanford Research Park, SLAC, and Stanford Campus.
